SOCIAL DANCE EVENING
Tuesday 1st May, 6.30pm at The Griffin Hall, 7 Grant St, Kamo.
Come along and have a dance with classmates
or just have a cup of tea and a catch-up. It's all fun. Bring
a plate to share. $5 entry
● The first Sunday of every month The Northern Jazz
Society hold their club day at The RSA in Rust Avenue. 2 -5pm featuring
local Jazz musicians. There is a dancefloor that can be put to good use.
Entry is by gold coin.
● The first Wednesday of the month, from 7.30pm to late
The Kamo Club (located on the corner of Meldrum &
Boswell St) feature guest musicians and entertainers
who often play music good for practising 6 count
swing dance moves. The atmosphere is great and
people friendly. $5 entry. You must be a member of
The Kamo Club or the dance section to join in.
● The Whangarei Rock ‘n’ Roll Club have frequent social
evenings at their clubrooms located on William Frazer
Memorial Drive. The 6 count swing dance basic can
be danced to rock and roll music.
